Maranatha Faith Temple

of the Apostolic Faith, P.A.W., Inc.

We at Maranatha Faith Temple of the Apostolic Faith, P. A. W., and Inc. in the body of Jesus Christ believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and that He is the foundation to all that we proclaim. Our statement to the world is that the teachings of the Apostles of Jesus is a the fundamental rudiments of our faith, and the birth of Jesus, His death, burial and resurrection are the only way for men to be saved as stated in Ephesians 4:5. This is the Gospel that we are commissioned to preach to those in search of Jesus and to uphold the true and unadulterated Apostolic way of Holiness.

A saved life of Apostolic holiness and sanctification is only acceptable to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for it is our proof that the Baptism in Jesus' Name and the precious infilling of the Holy Ghost with an evidence of speaking in unknown tongues, (Acts 2:38) is only way to escape the terrors of hell and damnation and be saved (John 3). It is the original Apostolic Doctrine.

Though our belief and commitment be stringent we follow Jesus because of His abundant love towards us in his lavish, powerful, grace yet humble by His act of sacrifice at Calvary. We count ourselves to have been apprehended for this cause we live, eat, drink, walk, talk, and preach Jesus and Him alone.

What We Believe

The New Birth

Church History

Maranatha Faith Temple of the Apostolic Faith had its beginning in June of 1986 on Father's Day. Elder Joe H. Kelly preached his first sermon entitled, "The Anointing Breaks the Yoke." For one year, the Maranatha fellowship held its services in the den of Elder Joe H. and Kathon Kelly's home. From there, they moved to the Hilton Airport Inn and then on to the Days Inn.

The Lord miraculously blessed Elder Joe H. and Co Pastor Kelly to purchase an acre of land in the Whitehaven Meadows subdivision at 538 East Holmes Road, where the fellowship presently worships. While on Holmes Road, the Lord has blessed Maranatha to grow not only in number, but in strength and spiritual maturity. We broke ground November 2003, which began Phase I of our building project. Our Pastor and First Lady had a vision to educate the children of God not only spiritually but also academically.

Elder and Evangelist Kelly has maintained their dream with much faith, prayer, focus and tenacity.

Yet through it all, with much preservation and God on our side, "we made it".
